Call to Action: Help Defeat U.S. Internet Censorship Bill (SOPA/PIPA)

Before month's end, the Senate will be voting on creating the first ever internet censorship system in the U.S. Our best chance at stopping the censorship bill (SOPA/PIPA) from becoming law is to make sure the Senate vote fails.

Unfortunately, we're still a ways away from having the votes we need to win.
Senators need to hear from us now, or the censorship bill passes.

Will you call your senators and ask them where they stand on PIPA? just click here.

It's time to force the Senate out into the open. Lobbyists and special interest groups use whip counts to track Congress on their issues and target key members before big votes. Now we're going to do it for the people, and we're going to do it in full public view.

Find your senators' phone numbers on the whip sheet or use our zipcode lookup tool. Making the calls will only take a minute or two, and we've put together some call tips to help you out (although it's pretty straightforward and the staffers you'll be talking to are typically very friendly).

We have 11 days to secure 41 votes against web censorship. There is a groundswell of opposition to the bill across the country, so it's definitely possible for us to win. But we really need you to help out this time if this is an issue you care about.
